Matt was born in San Jose, California and is of Czechoslovakian, Lithuanian and Japanese descents. He completed his early education from Evergreen Valley High School in San Jose, California. He got his nickname “Megatoad” from the character Toad from the Super Mario Franchise. His mother is Cathy Stonie and his father are Dorian Stonie.
