Early Life and Background
Liana Brackett was born and brought up in Temecula, California along with her sister Alisia Ramirez. Both of them have a Mexican heritage from their father’s side and African-American descent from their mother’s side. She comes from a line of amazing women as her grandmother, Vern, was one of the first women to be employed in the male-dominant Chevron Oil Factory in San Francisco during the 60s.
Although she’s proud of her heritage, one thing that she honestly admits is that she’s not very fluent in Spanish. However, she is trying to learn it regardless of her busy schedule. She learnt French in high school in California. She completed her graduation from University of California, Davis, in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology. Apart from that, she also holds a B.A degree in Communication and Media Studies from Arizona State University.

Liana is a married woman now. She had tied the knot with David Brackett on 15th August, 2015 in San Diego. Her husband, David, is a certified Spanish language interpreter. He is also the president of Linguava, an interpreter service based in Portland with an office in Atlanta. David, also appears to be the one teaching his wife, Spanish.

Career
Liana Brackett double degree earned her an internship. She started off her career as an intern with KCRA TV channel from 2008 to 2009. After that, she was offered a job as a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Portland, Oregon. That’s when her career truly kicked off. Later job at the National Weather Service and started working for Fox 12 Oregon in Portland in December 2015. She head over to Atlanta to take over the role of an on-camera meteorologist for The Weather Channel in October 2016. She even received several awards for her outstanding forecasting and teamwork with the National Weather Service.
